A well educated and fed child presents a strong foundation for raising a nation with responsible leaders whose integrity is at the core of their characteristics. Running away from educating and feeding achild reduces the number of potential leaders of tomorrow.
Most of the OVCs are not looked at as Potential people whose foundations can be strengthened; Facilitating a change in their lives so that we can say that a day has come or this is the day that the Lord hath made and they shall rejoice and be glad in it - having been empowered for Destiny.
Oh! It is a day when their Potential Purpose and Destiny are unlocked!!! And we are the Facilitators.
A shaky foundation characterized by HIV/AIDS, Illiteracy, Poverty, and Hunger produces Street Kids, Thieves and this can be avoided if you and I believe; and stand in the gap.
We have the ability to:
Instill a sense of destiny to the human soul;
John 10:10b .. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly..
'The reason He came is to give life and give it in abundancy! We are the key players now to this promise - helping make sense of this Scripture to the hurting souls'.
James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
This is our challenge - we need to critically look at it and identify what we can do. There are many Children who have been neglected of education and basic needs - they live in constant misery. But we can still make a difference!
